I hope to shed some light on the process of burning Microchips for the Commodore Machines. I am still a novice, but have successfully fixed an issue I had with my Commodore Plus 4 computer, and would like to share some of the steps I used. The built in 3+1 software on my machine did not function. The problem could have been many things. The chips might not have good contacts, or could other chips be failing. You could pull them out and clean the sockets with contact cleaner. Also clean the pins of the Rom chips with a brush and IPA. In my case it turned out to be faulty chips. These chips are labeled: 317053-01 and 317054-01, Commonly referred to as the 3+1 Low Rom and 3+1 High Rom. You must use care when pulling your chips from their sockets so as not to damage the chip in the process. You can get a tool that is designed to pull the chips from each side. I didn't have this so used a sheet of paper folded thinly to fit underneath the microchips. If you use something like a flat head

There are ports for a Printer, a Datasette Recorder, and Joysticks. There doesn't seem to be any information listed as to the voltage of the power supply. From what I have gathered most clones are powered by a 9vdc center negative. When I plug it in and press the power button the LED lights up. But nothing else happens. The LED stays on for only as long as the power button is pressed. Am I using the wrong voltage on this Chinese version? The guts of the thing is a UM6561B blob. Does that mean it is a later clone? It also comes with an unusual cartridge that has a 3.5mm audio jack. I wonder what it is for. Maybe it is to lead to the datarecorder? Has anybody encountered this type of power failure before? Has anyone ever heard of this version of the learning computer? The company listed on the board of the cartridge is Shenzhen Tellus Electronics Co E&E. Which is hard to make out in my picture. The Chinese characters on the cartridge verifies the same. Here is a roughly translated
